Another 5th Monday is upon us.  Please help fulfill our committment to cook and serve dinner for those in Beverly that need it.  You can help from 4:00 to 5:30, 5:30 to 7:00 or 4:00 to 7:00.  All help is appreciated.  Signup for this event is not on ClubRunner.  Please email your RSVP directly to Chris Shea at chrisshea317@gmail.com.  Thanks for your service.

Cook and serve at the Grace Center day shelter in Gloucester

Our guest speaker will be Traci Thayne Corbett, Executive Director of Cape Ann Art Haven.

Help out the Gloucester American Legion to provide Easter Dinners to veterans, the elderly and needy persons.   Event is at the Open Door.  They need preparers from 9:30am and drivers from 10:00am.  Follow this link for details and phone number to call for direct registration.

Setup, serve and cleanup at Open Door's live Community Dinner.  M-E Rotary has committed to providing 2-3 volunteers on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  Park in the back and enter directly from parking lot.

Volunteer to serve dinner in a restaurant setting to those in need in Gloucester.

Essex School house location

In addition to regular Club business, we will hear from Maureen Alward, Executive Director fo TownGreen whose mission is to assit the Cape Ann region in moving to fossil-free sustainability and prepare for the impacts of climate change.  We will also have a brief but important update from Lindsay Banks on the MERSD budget.

Our guest speaker will be Emily Pierce, who is the new Executive Director of Schooner Adventure.

Morning meeting at the Legion, MBTS

The Club is thrilled to host the 20th Annual Kentucky Derby Party and Auction on Saturday May 3rd from 5:30 to 8:30!  This event brings items from all corners from golf outings and beach barbecues to fine clothing and complete wine cellars.  There is a live auction featuring an auctioneer and State Senator Bruce Tarr for items including pro sports tickets, golf outings, condo stays in Florida and Marthas Vineyard. boat cruises and more!  We will watch the Derby race live, there will be a non-betting lottery on the outcome, a hat contest with the best woman's and men's hat winning a bottle of real Kentucky bourbon and a bouquet of roses.  An excellent buffet dinner will be served throughout the evening, cash bar (yes mint julep), and best of all we are raising money for local scholarships, food banks and international projects. So put on your Derby hats and be ready to have a fun time with fun people.  Senior Development Officer at Citizens Inn, a non-profit located in Peabody, working to end hunger and homelessness on the North Shore.

Jonathan Lane will give an overview of the plans for the Revolution 250 Celebration including the 250th Anniversary Reenactment of the Engagement at Bunker Hill on June 21 at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester.

Jonatthan will update us on all the happenings and planned celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the American revolution.

Our guest speaker is Sam Bevins, Interim Director, of the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce.

West Beach Cookout on West Beach Beverly Farms. This is a private event for an auction item from the Kentucky Derby.

All members are welcome to join the Board meeting.

Guest Speaker Eric Magers, Executive Director & Founder Seaside Sustainability 

Our annual Red White & Blue Breakfast on June 28th 2025 at Tucks Point stating at 7:30am to 11:30am.  There of course will be pancakes with all the fixings, eggs, bacon, coffee, pony rides and face painting for the kids, and musical entertainment!  Tickets are $12 in advance $15 at the door ages 10 and over, $10 ages 5-10 and children 4 and under are free of charge! 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Manchester-Essex Rotary Club Scholarship fund will be drawn at 11:30AM.  Take the free water taxi service between Tuck's Point and either Manchester Town Hall or Reid's Park to avoid the traffic, starting at 7:30 AM and running until 11:30 PM.

Join rotarians at our hospitality tent for the MERHS summer drama performance at the park.  And enjoy the show!

They will tell us what their Committee is doing for Sustainability isses and projects in the town of Manchester
