9th Annual Polar Plunge

The 9^th annual Polar Plunge to eradicate polio worldwide was held Saturday at Long Beach in Gloucester. Representing the M-E Rotary Club, Brian DesRosiers, Joanne Donnelly and Stephen Laspesa, took the plunge. Patrick Meehan piped the plungers into the ocean and his friend Joanne Cusato also took the plunge. New Rotary member Peter Andersen is supporting the effort as well with a pledge to raise funds. The Rotary district has raised $80,000 so far this year which the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match 2:1.
