Our annual holiday luncheon, and the passing of the "Lamp" was especially nostalgic this year as 7 Central Restaurant will be closing for good on December 31. The origin of the "Leg Lamp" is obscure; it's said to date back to the two Daves, Peterson and Singleton. No matter, every year a new member is chosen to carry on the honor of displaying the lamp in his or hers domain. Sarah WD had custody of the lamp last year and displayed it at her Office, Anthony-Dodge Accountants. On Friday she passed the "leg" to Dot, and the tradition continues. Look for the beacon in the window when driving to Gloucester along rte 127.
